SC Cleared Software Engineer Initial 5-month ContractFully Remote£400 - £575 p/day, Inside IR35We're recruiting for a Software Engineer to support the development and improvement of secure, python solutions. This role will focus on Python development, package management, CI/CD and automation, working closely with engineering, security and platform teams to create reliable and user-friendly solutions for development teams.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain secure Python and package management golden pathsDevelop curated package repositories and controlled publishing workflowsDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates and developer toolingIntegrate platform services with identity, security and runtime environmentsDevelop automated onboarding and self-service capabilitiesSupport reproducible development environments across Windows, WSL, Linux and containerised platformsTroubleshoot developer issues and reduce reliance on workaroundsImprove platform reliability, build success, performance and supportabilityProduce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transferWork collaboratively with engineering teams to gather feedback and continuously improve the platformRequirements:Strong Python development skills, with hands-on experience managing packages, dependencies and internal Python libraries using tools such as pip, PyPI and CondaStrong Python engineering and package management experienceExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and artefact repositoriesExperience with containers and reproducible development environmentsUnderstanding of SSO, RBAC, security scanning and API integrationKnowledge of SBOMs, provenance and policy-as-codeSC ClearanceECS Recruitment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.JBRP1_UKTJ
