The firm operates at serious scale in fast-moving financial markets, and engineering sits right at the centre of how the business runs.You'll work across a mix of production systems and internal tooling, with the scope to move between projects as priorities shift. It's a good fit for someone who likes variety, takes ownership without needing much oversight, and writes clean, maintainable code under real production pressure.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend services and internal applications supporting business-critical operations.Build tooling to improve how internal teams monitor, manage, and act on operational data.Work on data-handling pipelines feeding downstream analytics and reporting.Collaborate with engineers and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into working systems.Take projects from initial design through to live production support.RequirementsStrong commercial Python experience (2+ years).Solid SQL and relational database skills.Experience in a regulated, fast-paced, or otherwise high-stakes production environment is a plus.Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and translate technical detail for varied audiences.What's on offerA chance to join a technically serious, high-performing business where engineers are trusted with real responsibility early on.
