Senior Java Software Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are seeking highly motivated engineers with at least 5 years of Java experience.
• You should have excellent attention to detail and be able to write clear, concise and maintainable code.
• You should have a strong understanding of delivering robust, scalable systems.
• You should have a proven track record of engineering excellence.
• Experience with AWS and Postgres is highly desirable.
• We do not require experience in all of our listed tech stack, but familiarity with Java, AWS, GCP, distributed service-based architecture, Kubernetes (EKS), TeamCity, Terraform and Grafana is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• We build and maintain the systems responsible for our payment integrations.
• We ensure system stability and accuracy.
• We integrate with third-party systems that power instant, scheduled and cross-border payments.
• We deliver new features, improved reliability and mandated changes.
• We own our integrations with Faster Payments, BACS and SWIFT connectivity.
• We help ensure that customer payments are handled properly.
• We work across teams and contribute to mission-critical services.
