Job Description

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Mainstream & Specialist Provisions Location: Liverpool, Merseyside Pay Rate: £85 £110 per day Contract Type: Full-time, Part-time, Flexible Daily Cover & Long-term Roles Are you a compassionate, resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in Liverpool schools? GAC Education is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary schools, secondary academies, Resourced Provisions, and specialist SEN settings throughout North and South Liverpool. From supporting 1:1 intervention for pupils with Autism (ASC) and ADHD in mainstream classrooms, to facilitating small-group sensory activities in specialist SEN provisions, this role offers the opportunity to help children overcome barriers to learning and build real confidence every day. What the Role Involves Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Implementing visual schedules, sensory regulation routines, and positive behaviour management strategies. Supporting pupils with communication tools, including PECS, Makaton, and AAC devices. Working closely with SENCOs, class teachers, and external specialists to create a safe, structured learning space.
