Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Workshop Controller at their reputable automotive dealership in Barking, London. Competitive hourly rate from £16.12 plus performance bonuses

Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am – 2:00pm

Planning and controlling workshop loading to optimise productivity and efficiency

Allocating work to technicians and monitoring progress throughout each shift

Ensuring all workshop processes are completed to the highest standards

Managing customer communication and providing regular updates on vehicle repairs

Maintaining workshop productivity reports and analysing performance data

Supporting technicians and assisting with technical or operational issues as requiredRequirements of the Workshop Controller:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Workshop Controller or in a comparable automotive workshop management role

Strong organisational and planning skills

Excellent leadership and team management abilities

Good understanding of workshop processes and vehicle repair procedures
