Storage Engineer

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering enterprise storage infrastructure projects.
• Strong hands‑on experience with NetApp storage technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale storage environments.
• Strong understanding of storage networking and associated protocols.
• Experience with storage migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh programmes.
• Knowledge of virtualisation technologies, including VMware vSphere.
• Experience with capacity planning, performance optimisation, and storage architecture best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within project teams and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive and delivery‑focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise storage solutions using NetApp technologies.
• Deliver storage infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, technology refreshes, and transformation initiatives.
• Configure and deploy NetApp storage environments, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance requirements are met.
• Implement storage replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Work closely with server, virtualisation, network, and cloud teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Participate in technical design workshops and contribute to solution architecture discussions.
• Produce and maintain project documentation, implementation plans, technical designs, and handover documentation.
• Ensure all solutions comply with security, governance, and operational standards.
• Support project testing, validation, and transition activities.
