A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a committed Physical Health Nurse to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Newark, Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This is a purpose-built low secure hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs

**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin**

As a Nurse your key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate physical healthcare plans and treatments to help patients maintain their optimum level of physical well-being
• Lead the development and regular review of physical healthcare care plans, ensuring patients' needs are identified and appropriate interventions are implemented
• Ensure routine and ad hoc physical health monitoring (e.g. Clozapine/Lithium blood tests, ECGs, and long-term condition reviews) are completed as prescribed and accurately documented
• Support the clinical team on the ward and provide cover for staff when required
• Lead staff education and training on physical healthcare best practices, including Naso-gastric tube feeding and other clinical procedures
• Act as the Infection Prevention and Control Lead, providing education, guidance, and support to staff across the hospital
• Conduct clinical audits, support emergency drills, and promote compliance with healthcare standards and best practice
• Promote health and wellbeing by leading healthy living initiatives, supporting immunisation programmes, and working with patients, families, and professionals to encourage healthier lifestyles

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• A minimum of 2 or 3 years post registration experience
• Experience in NG Feeding & Phlebotomy
• Experience of training others
• An understanding of mental health

The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £36,788 - £37,272 per annum - Pay frequency is monthly.
