Regional Housing Officer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a social housing provider based in Oxfordshire and they are currently seeking a Housing Officer to join their team.
The role is a 3-4 month temporary position and are offering a well-paid hourly rate. The position is full time (35 hours per week) and offering hybrid working.
The candidate must have a car and an Enhanced DBS as well as experience of rents, ASB and attending court to be considered.
Below is a summary of the role:
Inspect voids in order to arrange for repairs and decorations for re-letting in line with voids procedure
Seek referrals from support providers, local Councils and other referring agencies to re-let voids and select new tenants in liaison with support providers or other partners and set up and manage tenant records
Conduct viewings and sign up new tenancies in line with procedures ensuring residents have signed an appropriate occupancy agreement
Ensure customers pay weekly rent and service charge and monitor rents and arrears on at least a fortnightly basis, taking action in accordance with policies to recover rent arrears including serving notices and attending court
Responding to anti-social behaviour complaints and neighbour disputes according to the procedures and providing advice as required
Ensure all tenancy and housing related records are properly maintained and recorded on Open Housing
Ensure that lettings standards have been achieved through post works inspection as required and make recommendations for works and prepare detailed specifications as required
Carry out visits to ensure compliance with tenancy conditions and where appropriate liaise with external professionals in respect of customers’ changing needs including support provider input
Processing mutual exchange requests and undertaking initial assessments
Undertake tenancy visits with maintenance staff and support providers to improve living conditions for tenants and support them in sustaining their tenancies
Ensuring that all information is accurately recorded onto Open Housing and other information systems in use
Manage the administration and budget of service charges including monitoring service charge income and expenditure and the annual rent and service charge increases
Ensure accessible health and safety information is available for all fire, gas and electrical appliances in customers’ homes
