Job Description

Due to significant investment and plant expansion, a leading manufacturer of advanced engineering products to the Aerospace, Defence & High Technology Sectors has a new vacancy for an Operations Manufacturing Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing manufacturing operations ensuring targets are achieved inline with customer requirements while driving quality and process improvements. Candidates are sought with previous manufacturing leadership experience gained in a fast-paced complex manufacturing environment.

The Role

Manage the production of ensuring targets are achieved in line with customer requirements.

Ensure quality standards and delivery expectations are met, minimising costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times.

Ensure the target productivity level is achieved on a daily basis.

Be accountable for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities.

Conduct risk assessments.

Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis.

Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.

The Person

Previous experience in a senior leadership position within a fast paced highly regulated engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment.

A good understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.

Successful track record with significant achievements.

Excellent leadership and influence skills.

An Analytical thinker with ability to drive change.

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline preferred
