Part-Time Legal Cashier

Location: Blackburn

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE (pro rata)

Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time - 2-3 days per week

Working Pattern: Office-Based with Flexible Core Hours

Client Details

Michael Page have partnered with an established and well-respected law firm in Blackburn who are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier to join its friendly and supportive team on a permanent, part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual with legal finance experience to play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. The position offers flexible core working hours and can accommodate candidate looking to work 2 or 3 days per week.

Description

The key responsibilities of a Legal Cashier will include:

Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.

Managing daily banking activities, including receipts, payments and bank reconciliations.

Processing electronic payments and CHAPS transfers.

Posting and reconciling client and office account transactions.

Handling purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments.

Raising office invoices and processing receipts.

Monitoring client balances and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Liaising with fee earners, suppliers and clients regarding financial queries.

Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements.

Assisting with general finance administration as required.Profile

The successful Legal Cashier will have:

Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm.

A strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules.

Experience managing client and office accounts.

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Good working knowledge of legal accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.

Job Offer
