Are you an experienced tutor, teacher or education professional looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a young person's education?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for 1:1 SEN Tutors across North Tyneside to provide personalised tuition to children and young people who require additional support with their education. Tuition can be delivered face-to-face or online , depending on the needs of the individual student.

Working in partnership with North Tyneside Council , you will support learners who may be unable to access mainstream education or who require additional 1:1 support. Many of the students will have EHCPs, SEND, SEMH needs, ASC, ADHD or other additional needs and barriers to education , so we are looking for patient, adaptable and engaging educators who can build positive relationships and tailor their approach to each individual learner.

The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Tutor, you will provide personalised tuition sessions designed around the individual needs of each student, helping them to re-engage with education, rebuild confidence and make progress towards their individual academic and personal targets.

Students may have a range of additional needs, and tuition will often require a flexible and individualised approach. This could include adapting lesson content, breaking learning down into manageable steps, using different teaching strategies and working towards targets outlined within a student's EHCP or individual education plan .

Depending on the learner, tuition may cover subjects including:

Maths

English

Science

GCSE-level subjects

Functional Skills

Other core curriculum subjects

Sessions can be delivered in person across North Tyneside or online , with the number of hours varying depending on each student's individual needs and referral.
