This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working close to the hardware in real-time and resource-constrained environments.What You’ll DoDevelop and optimise software in low-level languages (C, C++, Rust)Build systems for embedded, real-time, and constrained environmentsInterface with hardware using protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN busDesign and deliver high-performance, low-latency solutionsWork with industrial computing platforms and single-board computersApply secure and safety-critical development practicesUse performance profiling and optimisation techniquesContribute across the full development lifecycleWhat You’ll NeedStrong experience in C, C++, or RustBackground in embedded or real-time systemsExperience with hardware interfaces and low-level communication protocolsFamiliarity with Linux or macOS environments and toolchainsUnderstanding of build systems and low-level debuggingBonus SkillsExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)Knowledge of safety-critical or high-assurance engineering standardsExperience in high-performance or low-latency systemsSecurity RequirementSC clearance (or willingness/eligibility to obtain) is required.
