Project Engineer

Job Description


  • Act as a Senior Authorised Person on HV distribution networks.

  • Carry out switching, isolation, earthing and restoration activities safely and efficiently.

  • Prepare and issue safety documentation including Permits to Work and Sanction for Test.

  • Support planned and emergency fault response activities.

  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and operational teams on site.

  • Assist with network commissioning, maintenance and capital project activities.

  • Lead and support engineers, project teams, and stakeholders.


    The successful candidate will hold SAP authorisation on low-voltage 11kv-33kv, electrical networks and have a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance., Current or previous SAP authorisation on electrical distribution networks.


  • Experience working on HV networks (11kV, 33kV and above).

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety rules and operational procedures.

  • Experience conducting switching operations and issuing safety documents.

  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification (HNC, HND, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
