Scientific Instrumentation | Capital Equipment | Pharmaceutical | Life Sciences | Laboratory Equipment | Technical Sales Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in scientific instrumentation or technical capital equipment? Do you have a proven track record of winning new business whilst developing strategic key accounts? An established global scientific instrumentation manufacturer is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to take commercial responsibility for customers across the UK & Ireland.

The organisation designs and manufactures specialist scientific equipment for customers within the pharmaceutical and life science sectors. With approximately £80M turnover and an established international presence, the company combines the resources of a global organisation with the opportunity for this individual to have a significant influence over its UK & Ireland commercial strategy.

The Role Reporting closely to the MD, you'll be responsible for driving sales growth across the UK & Ireland.

This is a strategic and hands-on technical sales role, combining management and development of key accounts with proactive new business development.

You'll manage complex capital equipment opportunities through the complete sales cycle - from identifying and qualifying projects through technical discussions and proposals to negotiation and order placement.

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the UK & Ireland business development and sales strategy alongside the MD

Manage, develop and increase penetration within existing pharmaceutical and life science key accounts

Identify and win new customers, projects and capital equipment opportunities across the territory

Manage the complete technical sales process, including proposals, commercial negotiations, forecasting and order placement
