The Role

As a Service Charge Accountant, you will manage end-to-end service charge accounting for a dedicated property portfolio, working closely with Property Managers, clients, and auditors

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end service charge accounts following RICS Codes of Practice and ARMA rules
• Manage accruals, prepayments, developer voids, income splits, and balancing adjustments
• Coordinate client audits, submit VAT returns to HMRC, and issue Section 20b notices
• Resolve complex accounting queries with property managers, freeholders, and RMCs
• Assist with the financial on boarding of newly acquired properties

What We Are Looking For

• Experience as a Service Charge Accountant, Portfolio Accountant, or Block Property Accountant
• Strong knowledge of residential property management regulations (RICS, ARMA-Q)
• Hands-on experience with property accounting systems (e.g., Qube, Yardi, Tramps) and MS Excel.
• Excellent numerical precision, time management, and communication skills
• Candidate keen to develop and progress
