Job Title: HGV Technician

Location: Middlesbrough TS2 lPS

Salary: £19.10 per hour

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday with option for overtime when required

Bulkhaul Limited provide a global service for the distribution of bulk liquids and powders and has representation in over 100 countries worldwide. The operation is controlled from our corporate headquarters in Middlesbrough, supported by Bulkhaul offices strategically located in United States, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Brazil, Belgium and Germany.

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our modern and well-equipped workshop facilities in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will carry out routine servicing and safety inspections as well as diagnostics and repairs across our vehicle and trailer fleet with access to manufacturer specific custody stock.

Are you the right person for the job?

Core Skills/ Attributes:

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and carry out servicing efficiently.

Experience with diagnostic equipment.

Have good knowledge and understanding of MOT requirements and regulations.

Be able to adapt to repair and service specialist equipment across the fleet

Work safely and efficiently in a team to minimise vehicle downtime

Ability to work a shift pattern of 6.00-14.00 and 13.00-21.00 (weekly rotation). Desired experience

A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repair (or equivalent).

Full UK Driving Licence.

Class 1 HGV Licence (desired but not essential).

Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems and light fabrication.

What will your role look like?

Carrying out safety inspections, servicing and repair on our expanding fleet of vehicles and trailers.

Carry out diagnostics on tractors and trailers.

Carry out thorough MOT preparations in line with our excellent pass record.

Carrying out roadside repairs.

Road test vehicles when required.

What can you expect in return?
