Financial Controller

I am supporting an early-stage, high-growth business with the appointment of a Financial Controller. This is a broad role suited to a qualified finance professional who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key part in establishing robust financial processes as a business grows. Working alongside the CEO and supporting a Fractional CFO, the successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while helping to develop the systems, controls and reporting needed to support the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the day-to-day financial control and accounting function

Prepare accurate management accounts, financial reports and forecasts

Implement and improve financial processes, controls and reporting systems

Work closely with the CEO and Fractional CFO, providing financial insight and support

Support budgeting, cash flow management and wider financial planning as the business develops

The Ideal Candidate:

ACA, ACCA or CA qualified

Previous experience in an early-stage, start-up or high-growth business is highly desirable

Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills

Commercially minded, with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders

Comfortable operating in a broad role and establishing processes within a growing organisation

This is a varied Financial Controller position offering the opportunity to take ownership of a developing finance function and make a tangible contribution to the business. The working pattern is very flexible, with occasional travel to London required.
