Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations across two sites, who is happy to be actively involved in the day to day operations and lead from the front.

This is a varied role that goes beyond traditional warehouse management, incorporating purchasing responsibilities, stock control, supplier liaison, facilities management, and supporting the smooth running of a busy production environment.

They'd also like someone who can develop and implement stock control processes as the business continues to evolve.

Key duties include:

Managing warehouse operations across two sites

Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory controls

Coordinating goods-in deliveries and outbound logistics

Monitoring stock levels and raising purchase orders

Matching supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes

Ensuring warehouse areas remain organised, safe and efficient

Supporting production teams by ensuring materials are available when required

Conducting stock checks for clients and auditors

Managing company vehicle servicing schedules and records

Coordinating facilities maintenance and external contractors

Identifying process improvements and implementing best practices

Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments

Skills/Experience

Previous experience supervising a warehouse operation

Strong stock control and inventory management experience

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse or stock systems

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments

A full UK driving licence and confidence driving a van

A forklift licence

Desirable experience

Purchasing and supplier management experience

Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or factory environment

Print industry experience
