This role is to sit within the creative arm of the group but will allow the right individual to sit across and closely work and communicate with their other agencies to ensure alignment on the overall goal.
About the role...
This role is to head up the existing Social offering and therefore the entire Social team. As it stands, this currently compromises of Senior Social Media Managers, Social Media Managers and Executives. Not only that, but you will be a relied on and trusted face of the agency, with all communications and updates to be fed through yourself to the board and senior leadership team.
Of course, the main part of this role will be to steer the overarching strategy and plan for the Social team. This will range from how to achieve success on a client by client basis but will also include forming a roadmap of how the Social team can positively contribute to the overall agency and group. Both Paid and Organic social are part of this team and they work very closely with influencers as part of that package too.
You will be the dedicated individual who will roll out the commercials, strategy, plan and also be involved heavily in the activation of the work. A big part of the role is supporting your team and inspiring them to be able to reach the potential that they have.
What makes this role different to any other Social lead / Head of / Social Director role is the passion and enthusiasm the entire agency has for its people and its business. This needs to be reflected in this appointment.
About you...
You will have been in the Social Media industry for a considerable number of years and have a firm and vast understanding of both Paid and Organic strategies. As such, you will be dynamic and fluid when it comes to the ever-changing landscape of Social Media - keeping on top of trends, being ahead of the curve and a hold a deep understanding of each platform.
Your experience would have lead you to work on a number of high profile accounts and you have demonstrable experience working on a range of different Social techniques that has allowed you to gain trust in clients and organisations. Your success will not just have come from the work you have done for your clients but also the work you have done internally for the agencies you have been a part of - whether that be inspiring individuals and growing the Social team or being a valued, respected member of the agency.
Most importantly, you are now at a stage in your career where you are looking to take on your biggest challenge and opportunity to date. You will be passionate about Social Media and the work you do. This is the perfect role for somebody who is looking to now really establish a firm reputation for themselves and the agency that they work with. It is imperative that you are not only very commercial and strategic focused, but are heavily invested in your people and your teams. We want an inspiring, energetic and passionate leader who can lead by example.
