Senior Software Developer

Please note this is a permanent role and we prefer a hybrid working model; we are flexible with remote working as long as you can meet with the team in our London studio in-person now and then. Please note we cannot support VISA + relocation for this role.

About The Role

We are growing the team and looking for a Senior Software Developer to help us build modern cloud based next gen AI and prompt data pipelines and workflows.

You will help build solutions that interconnect with our existing pipeline, workflows and asset management systems. Help deliver some of our latest products used for modern advertising and brand management. You build services and tools for prompt tracking, AI observability, LLMOPS for running AI pipelines and model training.

In this role, you will enjoy a high degree of technical autonomy and work in close partnership with our ML/AI, pipeline and production teams across film and advertising.

With a strong focus on continuous delivery and TDD, you’ll work with the team, iterate rapidly and deploy impactful features that elevate our technical stack while mentoring peers and fostering professional growth.

What You’ll Do

• Develop modern pipelines and services for prompt and AI media workflows, extending Framestore’s existing pipelines and workflows.
• Ship secure, scalable and maintainable Python services frequently using modern GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Design and plan robust data solutions to version, track and observe pipeline data.
• Collaborate closely with pipeline teams, artists and our ML/AI department.
• Ensure features have useful metrics and carefully considered security measures.
• Explore and harness AI techniques to assist in code and media generation where appropriate.
• Champion Agile methodologies, focusing heavily on code review, continuous delivery, test-driven development, and team mentorship.
• Mentor peers and teams in AI techniques and modern best practices.

What we are looking for:

• Experience of building data and workflow solutions, for example in a VFX pipeline or similar.
• Experience with web and service development, specifically Python backend systems.
• A strong grasp of modern agile software development practices, including continuous delivery, code review and TDD.
• The ability to problem-solve independently and write high-quality code without an over-reliance on AI tools.
• Strong communication skills, a mentorship mindset, and an eager, proactive approach to personal and team growth.

You might also have:

• Previous experience building backend systems that integrate with AI agents and observability stacks.
• Experience with VFX/Animation Pipelines
• Experience with digital asset management.
• Experience deploying services to cloud platforms like GCP.
