SEND Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support Mansfield Location: Mansfield

Position: Full-Time

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-Term

Are you a nurturing, patient and supportive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children with SEND reach their full potential?

Trust Education are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Mansfield who are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs .

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is able to build a strong, trusting relationship with a child and adapt their approach to ensure they feel supported, included and confident within the school environment.

The Role The successful candidate will provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day , both inside and outside of the classroom.

Working closely under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENDCo , you will play an important role in understanding and responding to the child's individual needs, helping them to engage with learning and achieve their full academic potential.

You will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with SEND

Support the child both in and out of the classroom

Adapt learning activities and your approach to suit the child's individual needs

Encourage the child to engage positively with their learning

Support the child's academic, social and emotional development

Help the child develop confidence, independence and positive relationships

Follow the child's EHCP and individual care/support plan

Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo to ensure consistent support

Provide encouragement and reassurance when challenges arise

Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment

Experienced working with children with SEND or additional needs

Patient, nurturing and naturally supportive

Able to build positive and trusting relationships with children

Adaptable and flexible in their approach to learning
