Head Chef

We are looking for experienced head chefs in the Bedford area for clients operating branded high street restaurants, food led pubs and daytime restaurants - all high volume fast paced serving company core menus.
They are all company owned businesses with structured working environments looking for strong head/sous chefs able to manage, train and develop teams, control stock, GP's, labour and costs alongside being passionate about quality and presentation.

As Head Chef you will:
Lead the daily operation of the kitchen, you will be hands on.
Prepare and cook the core company menu
Manage the GP and all costs and budgets.
Recruit, train, develop and lead your team.
Monitor stock levels and manage stock orders
Carry out weekly stock counts to ensure GP targets are achieved.
Manage the cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
Plan rotas and holidays to meet service level requirements
Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve the highest standards, service and sales.
We are looking for:
Successful and experienced Head Chef with a background managing high volume fast paced kitchens.
Friendly, with an engaging personality and a genuine love for customer service.
Strong communicator who can motivate and develop their team to deliver with enthusiasm and great personality.
Knowledgeable in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety requirements.
Commercially aware to achieve sales and profit targets - GP, costs, budgets, wastage.
Experience cooking core company menus
Passion for delivering the highest quality food and service.
