Lineside Support Operative (4 Month FTC)
Location: Scarborough
We're looking for a Lineside Support Operative to join our Logistics team based at our Scarborough site on a temporary basis. Your number one responsibility will be to ensure all parts, components and materials are received, acknowledged and supplied to the production line in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Your dream role:
Along with adopting, demonstrating and endorsing the ADL core vision and values your main responsibilities will include:
Receipt & delivery of parts, components, and materials to lineside in a safe & timely manner
To check & maintain stock control in order to prioritise material supply to line
Update MRP (Syspro) systems in timely manner
To collate weekly ‘Pick Lists' and identify shortages, ensuring this is reported to the appropriate stakeholders as required and ensuring corrective actions are taken
Report any damaged components as appropriate and raise DMR's as required
Report and dispose of any obsolescence as appropriate
Communicate with and manage external carriers/couriers as appropriate
Responsible for maintaining housekeeping in allocated work area including organising, laying out, labelling & maintaining line side racking. You'll also ensure that waste disposal and spillage clearing is carried out correctly both internally and externally of buildings.
Ensure that floor space and walkways are always left safe and audit the housekeeping of your work area daily at end of shift
Operate Forklift Trucks and materials movement equipment safely whilst ensuring you adhere to the daily FLT Inspection procedure.
To ensure returnable still aging stock is returned in timely manner.
Responsible for safe disposal and/or recycling of packaging
To support Manufacturing & Supply Chain team as required including assisting with cycle counts
To operate across a range of product lines and outsource partners
Any other duties as reasonably required
What you will bring:
You will have experience working in a similar manufacturing environment
Your valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck License will be essential for this role
You'll be competent in handling/driving a delivery buggy
You'll hold the ability to manage and respond to requests from both internal and external customers in a timely manner
Excellent oral and written communication skills along with great organisational skills are essential for this role
You'll be fully computer literate with knowledge of MRP systems
Things can be hectic here. You will remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise a busy workload
