Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC setter/operator, you will be responsible for programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. This is a full-time position based in our warehouse facility.
You must have experience with Fanuc controls and be able to operate and set a milling machine.
Responsibilities:- Develop and write CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, such as SolidWorks- Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to specifications- Select appropriate tooling and make necessary adjustments- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes
Skills:
Setting tool registers, compensation and conditional switches
Setting up mills, lathes and grinders
Reading computer-aided design (CAD) drawings
Interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances
Verifying settings on machines and adhering to quality standards
Operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines
Taking precise measurements for cutting or shaping
Selecting appropriate machine and settings for a given task
- Familiarity with tooling selection and adjustment- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints- Knowledge of logic controllers and their functions- Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus- Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and finishing work- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
