We are currently working with a leading manufacturer within the pharmaceutical and medical devices sector is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a highly skilled team in a fast-paced, regulated environment. This position would suit an accomplished engineering professional with strong leadership skills, ideally from a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing background. You will be confident managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement. A results-driven approach, excellent communication, and the ability to influence at all levels are essential.

The client are also moving into other, highly regulated fields, so the opportunity to expand the team and business is there for the taking.

Location: Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver operational and project objectives within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programmes to maximise equipment performance and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes and reduce downtime.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and engineering projects to agreed timescales and quality standards.

In return, you'll receive:

  • Flexible start and finish times between 7:00–9:30am and 3:00–6:30pm.
  • Annual bonus of up to 8% based on company and personal performance.
  • 24 days holiday (increasing to 25 days after one year, plus one extra day every 5 years).
