Site Engineer

About the Role

EKFB is a joint venture of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall, delivering high‑speed rail infrastructure across the UK. We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our engineering team in the Aylesbury area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise junior engineers and oversee construction operations on site.
• Coordinate with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials in line with required standards, programme and budget.
• Collaborate with the setting‑out team, develop junior engineers, and identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with senior team and Sub‑Agent.
• Monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure they meet contractual requirements.
• Assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent, and working towards ICE membership.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
• Essential experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage.
• Full driving licence required and access to a vehicle.
• Required CSCS competency: White, White‑Yellow, Red (Experienced), Black (Manager) or Gold (Supervisor).
