We’re looking for

Senior Backend Developer

Role: As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be part of the team that develops the backend components of all Bitfinex services (main trading application, Lightning Network support, Blockchain integrations, etc.). This includes:

New products and features to provide a professional trading experience, developed and deployed using agile methodologies.

Scalability: ensure backend services remain smooth, responsive, and real-time as the platform grows, including the Bitfinex API.

Security: build API services and backend processes with high security principles to protect users.

What You Bring to the Table

Exceptional Node/JavaScript skills

Familiarity with microservices architecture

Experience participating in development of a complex platform

Experience with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)

Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Good understanding of security practices

Other Valuable Skills

Experience with blockchain integration

High-availability concepts

Ruby, Rust or C++ skills are a plus

Knowledge of Redis (queues), caches and job queues
