Java Software Engineer

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Java and associated technologies

Experience with Spring Boot

Experience with unit testing, test automation, and TDD

Experience with DevOps tooling and CI/CD

Experience with debugging, profiling, and performance tuning

Experience with Agile software delivery

Experience with Docker or other container technologies would be beneficial

Strong problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail

A genuine desire to continue developing technical knowledge

Responsibilities

Join our team delivering high-quality software on critical projects

Work as part of an Agile/Scrum team throughout the software development lifecycle

Develop and deliver high-quality Java applications

Write unit, integration, and feature tests

Work with other technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues

Create and maintain low-level technical designs and documentation

Support CI/CD and software delivery activities

Debug, tune performance, and improve application reliability

Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities

Contribute to digital transformation and wider engineering projects
