Salary: £16.00 per hour

Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful independent café seeking a reliable and experienced Chef to join their team.

Working closely with the owner and wider team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality food offering, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to specification while maintaining excellent kitchen standards. Working Hours

Wednesday to Saturday: 3:30pm to 10:00pm

Tuesday: 9:00am to 1:00pm (prep shift)

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes from an established menu to a consistently high standard.

Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to company specifications.

Maintain a clean, organised, and fully compliant kitchen environment.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.

Manage weekly stock ordering and maintain accurate stock records and par levels.

Minimise waste and support effective stock control procedures.

Communicate effectively with the owner and wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Support the delivery of an excellent customer experience through quality food service.

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Chef.

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

Good understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance requirements.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a small team.

Passion for producing high-quality food consistently.
