The role
You’ll propel our client’s brand throughout the UK, mainland Europe and key regions in Asia. You’ll build a network of trusted relationships with customers, key accounts and technical leaders and gain a deep understanding of their business needs.
Other responsibilities include:
Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities
Growing the customer base and market presence in line with targets
Learning technical requirements of the product portfolio
Hitting and exceeding sales targets
Driving continuous improvement initiatives
Negotiating contracts and commercial terms
Maintaining a high level of industry expertise and competitive intelligence
The requirements
Ideally, you’ll have 5+ years of relevant experience. You’ll have a proven track record in a business development role, preferably in a consultancy or tier 1 environment, as well as:
Degree educated in Mechanical, Electrical or Control system Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Able to demonstrate understanding of one of the following global sectors: commercial vehicle, off-highway, aerospace, marine or defence
Strong engineering background with experience in electrified propulsion systems, transmission and driveline, or powertrain testing
Detailed understanding of industry market trends and competitor capabilities
Excellent customer-facing skills and able to maintain a strong personal impression
Strong communication, articulation and presentation skills
Fluent in English and French/German/Japanese/Chinese is a plus
High IT proficiency (including Microsoft Suite)
Flexible and willing to travel
