We are looking to hire an RF- Electronics Engineer , within the electronics team to enable Quantum technologies. Passionate about helping create technologies which can change the world? We may be the right place for you so get in touch!What You'll AccomplishRF PCB and architecture design activities for a custom RF delivery system including cables and transmission lines.Define specifications for key building blocks of the RF delivery system.Oversee all RF verification and validation testing including documentation.Expand your expertise across various engineering domains.Collaborate with RF team members, electronics engineers, ASIC/chip designers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists to achieve common goals.Ensure the use of innovative RF solutions.Participate in project planning, risk management, and scheduling.Contribute to rapid proof-of-concept developments and feasibility discussions.The 2 Most Critical Attributes Where We'll Use to Compare CandidatesExtensive RF front and backend PCB and System design experience (VHF to X-band frequencies).Proven hands‑on experience in designing complex RF systems from concept to delivery, including proficiency with FEA tools, particularly Ansys HFSS, CST and ADS.Inquisitive, co‑operative, empathetic and has a strong desire to work within a highly technical environment.Must-have SkillsAround 5-10 years of practical experience in RF PCB design (VHF to X-band).Strong understanding of RF hardware design principles.Expertise in developing and executing test plans for complex RF systems.Knowledge of low-noise design techniques and testing low-noise RF systems.Proficiency with FEA and simulation tools, especially Ansys HFSS, CST and ADS.Experience working with suppliers and contractors.Strong documentation skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team player.A minimum of a 2.1 BEng/BSc Degree in System or Electronics Engineering or a related field.Nice-to-have SkillsFamiliarity with the RF vendor supply chain.Pragmatic approach to decision‑making and design choices.Experience in team and/or project management.Competitive salaryMeaningful equity participationFlexible holiday allowance (28 days minimum)Flexible working10% matching pensionGenerous parental support policyPrivate health / dental insurance & group life insurance£2,000 annual personal development budgetRelocation supportWe are committed to nurturing diversity and inclusion At Universal Quantum, we're passionate about working with and for all kinds of minds.
