Role Overview

This position provides high-level technical leadership and architectural expertise to the enterprise systems team. Operating as a principal individual contributor, you will oversee platform architecture, lead complex integration projects, maintain code quality standards, and mentor mid-level engineering staff. This position focuses purely on technical excellence and platform strategy, working alongside operational IT management to expand the companies ERP capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Governance: Serve as the final technical authority for all ERP customisations and ecosystem integrations, defining coding standards, architectural guidelines, and deployment workflows.

Complex Scripting & Development: Lead the implementation of high-throughput custom backend logic, performance-critical web services, and advanced event-driven automations; act as the primary escalation point for severe technical blockers.

Integration Strategy: Design and manage end-to-end data flow architectures, including automated retry mechanisms, error handling protocols, monitoring systems, and API lifecycle management.

DevOps & Platform Engineering: Modernise deployment practices using modern CI/CD pipelines, version control frameworks, environment management strategy, and system resource optimisation.

Team Mentoring: Level up internal development talent through direct code reviews, pair programming, technical coaching, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Strategic Roadmap Collaboration: Partner with IT leadership to address technical debt, refine platform roadmaps, and architect upcoming expansions into manufacturing operations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Translate complex operational requirements into scalable technical designs and detailed architectural specifications.

Tier-3 Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and incident resolution for critical platform disruptions.

Required Qualifications

Tier 1 (Preferred Direct Experience):

Extensive, production-proven background developing complex scripts and custom extensions within a major mid-market ERP ecosystem (4+ years preferred).
