Senior Java Software Engineer in Toronto, applying Spring Boot and REST APIs to complex customer-facing platforms at Scotiabank. Use modern technologies daily. This senior engineer role supports large-scale software development and customer-facing platforms. You will work with Java 8, Spring, REST APIs, and system integration methodologies. The team uses Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, NoSQL, Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes while delivering software quality. Key Responsibilities:

Analyze production data and identify root causes quickly Recommend improvements to supported applications and systems Translate ideas into technical and business realities Map technology solutions to business problems Drive teams toward performance and quality craftsmanship Requirements:

Six-plus years developing complex customer-facing platforms Six-plus years developing Java with Java 8 and Spring Six-plus years building public and internal REST APIs Strong APM experience with Dynatrace or Splunk Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Bitbucket Apply senior Java engineering expertise, production analysis, REST APIs, and Spring knowledge to Scotiabank platforms in Toronto.
