As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll join the business at an exciting stage of growth, helping to develop the manufacturing processes, standards and systems that will support future UK aircraft production.This Senior Manufacturing Engineer role offers the rare opportunity to combine hands-on manufacturing engineering with process development, industrialisation and continuous improvement within a high-growth aerospace and defence environment.Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:Developing and improving SMT, through-hole and harness assembly manufacturing processesLeading the transfer of established electronics manufacturing processes into the Swindon facilitySupporting NPI activities and transitioning electronic assemblies into repeatable volume productionLeading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions to improve manufacturing performanceWorking closely with Product Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams to drive manufacturing excellence and process improvementsThis Senior Manufacturing Engineer position is highly hands-on and will see you spending significant time on the shop floor, supporting operators, solving production challenges and improving manufacturing capability.Key RequirementsTo be considered for this Senior Manufacturing Engineer role, you will need:Hands-on experience with SMT, through-hole and harness assembly manufacturing processesExperience applying IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards within a production environmentExperience within an AS9100, ISO9001 or similar regulated manufacturing environmentNPI, industrialisation and process validation experience for electronic assembliesExperience producing manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process controlsEligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) and BPSS clearanceExperience within defence, aerospace, avionics or other highly regulated manufacturing environments would be advantageous.What They Can Offer YouAs the new Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you can expect:Salary: Up to £75,00025 days holiday plus bank holidaysCompany pension with up to 10% matched contributionPrivate medical insuranceDental insuranceAnnual discretionary bonusSalary sacrifice schemes including EV, Cycle to Work and technology schemesThe opportunity to help build and shape a new UK manufacturing capability from the ground upThis Senior Manufacturing Engineer role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on manufacturing engineering, process ownership and driving improvements within a complex electronics assembly environment.What Next?If you like the sound of this Senior Manufacturing Engineer opportunity, simply click apply now.Need more information?
