Job Description

Hays Education are working in partnership with a friendly and welcoming secondary school in Trafford to recruit a School Receptionist / Administrator to join their office team on a temporary basis.
This is a part-time position starting on 17th September, working Thursday and Friday each week until Christmas.
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff, providing a professional and efficient front-of-house service while supporting the wider school office with administrative duties.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing the school's busy reception area
Welcoming visitors and signing in guests
Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
Responding to email enquiries
Supporting pupil attendance and lateness procedures
Maintaining accurate pupil records and data
Handling general administrative tasks and filing
Supporting staff, parents and external agencies
Assisting with school communications and correspondenceWhat You'll Need

Previous administration or receptionist experience
Experience working within a school environment is highly desirable
Knowledge of school systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom would be advantageous
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
