Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, experience with enterprise application development, and a passion for innovative solutions. You will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance applications that contribute to our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.

Analyse and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in existing applications.

Contribute to software architecture and design discussions, influencing technology decisions and best practices.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and incorporate them into solutions.

Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and quality practices.

Write unit tests and integration tests; optimize code for performance and maintainability.

Document development processes, code changes, and architectural decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

4+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar technologies.

Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

Strong knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and experience with ORM tools.

Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).

Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
