Nursing Home

Location: Halesowen, West Midlands

Salary: £14.45 per hour

Job Type: Permanent Shift

Pattern: Nights

The Opportunity

A well-established and award-winning care provider is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join its night team. This position is ideal for a compassionate and motivated care professional who enjoys supporting both residents and colleagues while maintaining high standards of person-centred care.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily care needs while providing guidance and leadership to members of the care team. You will help ensure that residents receive dignified, high-quality care and that care plans are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents

• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing

• Support the development and supervision of care staff

• Assist with care planning and reviews

• Conduct staff supervisions and contribute to appraisals

• Mentor and coach Support Workers

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with care standards

• Work closely with management and wider healthcare teams

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker, Senior Carer, or similar care role

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively

• A caring, empathetic, and professional approach

• Ability to work well within a team environment

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or working towards the qualification
