Full Job DescriptionAbout the RoleAVTAV is recruiting an experienced Hybrid Warehouse Operative to join a busy logistics and e-commerce operation based in Leicester, LE3.This is a varied, hands-on warehouse position supporting both Transport and E-commerce operations during a busy period. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and comfortable moving between different warehouse duties depending on operational requirements.The role will involve a combination of forklift operation, loading and unloading freight, scanning goods, container work and e-commerce order fulfilment.imageShift Pattern & PayMonday to Friday12:0020:3030-minute unpaid break£13.26 per hourLeicester, LE3imageRole ResponsibilitiesThe role may include:Operating a forklift to safely load and unload pallets from vehicles.Moving pallets and freight throughout both Transport and E-commerce warehouse areas.Using handheld scanners to scan Transport freight in and out of the warehouse.Loading and unloading vehicles in line with operational requirements.Devanning containers and safely handling incoming goods.Picking and packing customer orders within the E-commerce warehouse.Preparing and dispatching E-commerce orders accurately and efficiently.Checking goods and freight for accuracy, damage or discrepancies.Supporting general warehouse duties across both Transport and E-commerce operations.Maintaining accurate stock and freight movements.Keeping warehouse areas clean, organised and safe.Adapting to different duties depending on daily operational requirements.In addition, all employees are expected to:Follow company procedures and operational requirements.Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.Work effectively as part of a team.Follow all Health & Safety procedures.Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.Maintain a professional and positive attitude.Support colleagues and supervisors in achieving operational objectives.imageEssential RequirementsApplicants must have:A minimum of 2 years warehouse experience.A minimum of 2 years forklift experience.A current and valid FLT licence.Previous experience loading and unloading vehicles and pallets.The ability to work confidently within a busy warehouse environment.Flexibility and willingness to work across both Transport and E-commerce operations.Good attention to detail.Reliability and punctuality.The ability to follow instructions and warehouse procedures.A proactive and flexible approach to work.The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.imageTechnical Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in the following areas would be beneficial:Forklift operation within a warehouse or transport environment.Loading and unloading pallets from vehicles.Freight handling and warehouse scanning systems.Using handheld scanners to process incoming and outgoing freight.Container devanning.Picking and packing E-commerce orders.Order fulfilment and dispatch.Working within Transport, Logistics or E-commerce warehouse environments.Working within fast-paced and high-volume warehouse operations.imageSecurity & Compliance RequirementsDue to the nature of the operation, successful applicants must be suitable to complete enhanced employment and security vetting, as additional clearance requirements may become mandatory for this position.Applicants should therefore be able to meet requirements including:Right to Work verification.A clean UK criminal record check.A stable and fully verifiable five-year employment history.Ideally, no more than five employers or jobs within the previous five years.The ability to provide accurate employment information and suitable references.The ability to provide all documentation and information required to complete the vetting process.All required vetting and compliance checks will be coordinated as part of the onboarding process.imageAbout AVTAVAVTAV is a specialist recruitment, training and vetting provider supporting clients across the aviation, logistics, transport and wider supply chain sectors.We are committed to connecting candidates with quality employment opportunities whilst providing our clients with reliable, compliant and professionally trained personnel.imageApply TodayWe are looking to recruit for this position as soon as possible, allowing sufficient time for successful candidates to complete training and become fully operational ahead of the upcoming E-commerce peak period.Please apply by uploading your CV.A member of the AVTAV team will review your application and contact suitable applicants regarding the next steps.JBRP1_UKTJ
