Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer

Advanced CNC | 3, 4 & 5-Axis | Aerospace

Romford, Essex

£35,000 - £40,000

Complex components. Advanced machining. Real engineering ownership.

A well-invested aerospace precision engineering business is growing its engineering team and is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer to take ownership of programming, process development and manufacturing optimisation.

This is far more than a programming role. You’ll have genuine influence over how complex aerospace components are manufactured, developing processes, tooling, fixtures and setup strategies to deliver first-time-right production.

The Role

* Create, optimise and prove 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC programmes

* Develop manufacturing processes, routings and setup strategies

* Design and implement work-holding and fixture solutions

* Select tooling and optimise machining processes

* Drive first-time-right production and reduce manufacturing inefficiencies

* Support the introduction of new aerospace components into manufacture

* Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams

* Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

What You’ll Bring

* Proven CNC programming experience within precision engineering

* Strong understanding of 3, 4 and 5-axis machining

* Experience developing manufacturing methods and setup strategies

* Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications

* Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desirable

* Hypermill experience would be advantageous

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to move beyond simply writing programmes and become a key part of the manufacturing engineering process.

You’ll be solving real machining challenges, improving processes and influencing manufacturing standards while working on technically demanding aerospace components.

On offer:

* Highly competitive salary

* Healthcare benefits

* Flexible working hours

* Generous holiday allowance

* Genuine engineering ownership and influence

If you’re a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer who wants to work on complex components, tight tolerances and genuinely interesting engineering, this could be a very strong next move.

Please apply and I’ll be in touch for a confidential discussion...
