Imports Export Co-ordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for an Import/Export Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Logistics supervisor, this important role delivers the logistics strategy through the smooth passage of goods from our suppliers to our UK and EU warehouses and ultimately to our customers.
It is important to note that this is a very flexible role in terms of the number of hours / days and location of work are not set in stone and negotiable for the appropriate candidate.
The Role
To provide the link between the logistics and wider Supply Chain teams
Ensure all shipments are accurately documented in our systems and that all necessary paperwork is collated to support the successful shipment of all deliveries
Ensure business risk is minimised through efficient processing of shipment documentation resulting in timely clearance by the Port Health and Customs authorities
Work effectively with internal stakeholders to process shipments and update systems accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure full visibility within the supply chain
Foster good working relationships with external stakeholders, both manufacturing suppliers and freight forwarders
Support the logistics supervisor to build a ‘Best in Class’ environment
Experience in invoice processing/checking for accuracy and timely processing
The Person
Excellent administrative experience and a track record of learning new tasks quickly
Goods Import /Export experience (Edible goods advantageous)
Knowledge of Air Freight imports would be advantageous
Numerate and a ‘Can do’ attitude
A keen eye for detail and for spotting and investigating potential errors to their conclusion
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Comfortable working within a challenging environment
Ability to think creatively and use of initiative - ‘thinking outside the box’
Professional and collaborative in approach and able to develop strong working relationships internally and externally
Confident to communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders
