Working Electrical Supervisor

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Working Electrical Supervisor to work on water utility and water treatment projects.

The successful candidate will be an experienced electrician who is able to lead and supervise electrical works while remaining hands-on with the installation and commissioning activities on site.

Candidates must have previous experience working on water treatment works, sewage treatment works, pumping stations or other water utility infrastructure and be comfortable working within an industrial environment.

Essential Requirements

* Proven experience as a Working Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Supervisor (Black ECS, SSSTS/SMSTS Certification)

* Strong hands-on electrical installation experience

* Previous experience working on water utility, water treatment or sewage treatment sites – essential

* Good knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance within an industrial environment

* Relevant Level 3 electrical qualification / recognised industry competency qualification

* Experience reading and working from electrical drawings and schematics

* Experience supervising electricians and electrical labour on site

* Ability to organise and allocate daily tasks to the electrical team

* Good understanding of RAMS, permits and safe systems of work

* Strong understanding of electrical health and safety requirements

* Able to communicate effectively with site management, subcontractors and the client

* Reliable, professional and capable of working under pressure

Duties & Responsibilities

* Supervising and coordinating electrical works on site

* Leading a team of electricians and electrical labour

* Allocating daily tasks and ensuring works are completed to programme

* Remaining hands-on with electrical installation works

* Installing and terminating electrical cabling

* Installing containment and associated electrical equipment

* Working on LV electrical systems

* Installing and connecting motors, pumps and associated equipment

* Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics

* Carrying out testing, inspection and fault finding where required

* Monitoring the quality of electrical installation works
