Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring a high-quality finish on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The Painter must be able to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling holes, and removing old paint.
Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Mix and match paint colours according to specifications.
Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, masking tape, and other materials.
Repair and maintain painted surfaces when required.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Painter or Decorator.
Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and access equipment.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
Understanding of health and safety procedures.
CSCS card (preferred).
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
