Position: ABA Secondary School TutorType: PermanentLocation: WembleySalary: £22,000-£24,000, depending on experienceStart Date: September 2024
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a team of ABA Tutors to provide individualized ABA instruction to children with autism and related communication disorders.
Analyze student behavior to identify behavioral functions and implement appropriate strategies in accordance with individual behavior plans, risk assessments, and agency policies.
Develop an understanding of assessments used within the agency to track student progress and develop Individual Education Plans.
Ensure adherence to individual and group schedules.
Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress, utilizing it to track progress and inform teaching procedures.
Provide support for students' personal care needs, including toileting, medication administration, feeding, and supervision during playtime and outdoor activities.
Prioritize student safety and well-being by implementing agency policies and procedures, including maintaining a safe environment both within the agency and during off-site activities.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations as required.
Undertake professional development activities to enhance understanding and application of Positive Behavior Support and Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
Maintain accurate student records and ensure effective communication with parents and caregivers.
Undertake any additional tasks assigned by agency management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
Previous experience working with children or young people with autism and learning disabilities is desirable.
Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support and Applied Behavior Analysis principles is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Commitment to promoting the well-being and development of students with diverse needs.
