Job Advertisement: CPCS Banksman in Cramlington

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced CPCS Banksman to join our team for a 5-month project based in Cramlington. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with the required certifications and a strong commitment to safety and precision. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of machinery on-site, working closely with the telehandler and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Safely direct and guide the movement of machinery and vehicles on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Work alongside the telehandler, providing clear and effective communication to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor and manage site traffic to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure all equipment and machinery are in proper working condition.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.

Qualifications

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS card with the CSCS logo.
  • Current Safety Critical Medical certification.
  • Proven experience as a Banksman, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to remain focused and attentive in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day

  • Start each day with a safety briefing and equipment checks.
  • Coordinate with the telehandler operator to ensure smooth and safe operations.
  • Direct and bank machinery and vehicles, maintaining clear communication at all times.
  • Monitor site activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide support to other team members as needed to ensure project efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report any issues to the site supervisor.
