Solution Architect – Data Platform

About the role

We're looking for a talented individual to take the next step in their career and join us as a Solution Architect responsible for leading the definition, design and delivery of data products and solutions on the platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition, design and delivery of data products and solutions on the Data Platform.
• Ensure all solution designs meet agreed business requirements, are cost‑effective, deliverable and supportable.
• Align to and continuously improve on platform principles, standards and patterns.
• Work with internal teams to deliver platform capabilities, allowing us to maximize the value of our data.
• Engage with external technology and engineering partners to ensure our solutions align to industry best practices and forward plans.
• Collaborate with the Platform Architect to create reusable designs and platform capabilities.
• Demonstrate strong technical and analytical abilities and a passion for delivering results for customers – both internal and external.

What you'll need to have

• In‑depth Azure knowledge and experience with data platform related technologies.
• Experience with Databricks or equivalent cloud data tooling.
• In‑depth experience in design and development of IT and data solutions.
• A broad and balanced understanding of IT capabilities, methods, and technologies.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders on solutions for proposed initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with data engineering approaches needed to fulfil MI and analytics requirements.

It would be great if you also have

• Data product delivery experience for varying levels of data maturity.
• Experience in team management.
• Experience as a subject matter expert for globally distributed teams.
• Experience working in retail, pharmacy, healthcare, supply chain or CPG industries.
• Experience in architectural notation, such as C4 or UML.
