Guildford BaseSector: Leisure & Hospitality Fit OutHoliday: 25 Days + Bank HolidaysWe are working with an established construction and refurbishment contractor looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.The business delivers high-quality fast-track fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK, with a strong focus on the leisure and hospitality sectors, including pubs, restaurants, hotels and other high-specification venues.This is a role for a commercially strong QS who is comfortable taking ownership of projects and working independently. You won't need someone looking over your shoulder - you'll be trusted to manage the commercial side of your projects from start to finish.The RoleYou will take commercial responsibility for multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects, working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and senior management.Responsibilities will include:Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final accountProcurement and management of subcontractor packagesPreparing budgets, cost plans and project forecastsManaging valuations, variations and applications for paymentCost reporting and maintaining commercial control throughout each projectNegotiating subcontractor accounts and final accountsIdentifying and managing commercial risksWorking closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetBuilding strong relationships with clients and the wider supply chainVisiting live projects across the UK as requiredWhat We're Looking ForFast-track fit-out experience is essential.Strong Quantity Surveying experience within a main contractor or specialist fit-out contractorProven experience delivering fast-track fit-out/refurbishment projectsExperience within leisure, hospitality, pubs, restaurants, hotels or similar environmentsStrong commercial and contractual knowledgeExperience managing projects independentlyExcellent subcontractor procurement and negotiation skillsThe ability to manage several projects simultaneouslyA practical, commercially minded approachWillingness to travel to projects nationwide when requiredThis role would suit someone who enjoys being given responsibility and the freedom to get on with the job rather than working within a heavily layered commercial structure.PackageSalary up to £75,000Company car / car allowancePerformance-related bonus25 days holiday + bank holidaysHybrid workingNationwide project portfolioLong-term opportunity within an established contractor#INDPERM
