Job Description

Salary: £28,044 to £29,212.80 per annum.

Position Type: Part-time (22.5 hours, Permanent)

About Us

Certification is the UK’s leading sustainability certification body, offering a range of best-in-class organic and sustainable certification schemes across food, farming and forestry.

We operate in over 70 countries, managing thousands of clients across supply chain networks covering organic food, farming, beauty and textiles to sustainable forestry and high-integrity carbon schemes in emerging nature markets.

Our people are highly skilled ranging from auditors and inspectors to technical, commercial and marketing experts. We have ambitious growth targets and work to deliver excellence for all clients in the UK and beyond.

About the Opportunity

Soil Association Certification is looking for an Integrity Manager to lead and coordinate our approach to integrity and risk management across our certification activities. This is an important role within our Accreditation team, helping to ensure that our work remains credible, transparent and compliant with relevant scheme owner, accreditation and internal requirements.

You will oversee the management of integrity issues and investigations, maintain the organisational risk register, and support colleagues across the business to identify, assess and manage operational, compliance and reputational risks. You will also coordinate responses to accreditation body incidents, complaint investigations and integrity concerns, ensuring appropriate documentation, reporting and follow-up action.

This is a varied and influential role for someone who enjoys working across teams, interpreting complex requirements and supporting continuous improvement. Your work will help safeguard the reputation of Soil Association Certification and ensure our certification services are delivered with independence, impartiality and professional integrity.

About You

You will bring significant experience from a certification, compliance, risk management or auditing environment, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and frameworks. You will be confident managing investigations, incidents or compliance issues, and able to produce clear, accurate documentation and reports to support effective decision-making.

You will have strong analytical skills, sound ethical judgement and the ability to remain calm, objective and professional when dealing with complex or sensitive matters. You will be comfortable interpreting standards and requirements, communicating clearly with different audiences and influencing colleagues constructively.

We are looking for someone collaborative and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards. Experience working with certification schemes and standards such as FSC, PEFC or organic schemes would be valuable, as would experience using compliance, case management or digital quality systems.

We offer a range of financial and lifestyle benefits to all our employees, including:

  • 27 days annual holiday increasing to 30 days with length of service plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
  • Pension scheme with ethical investment options and employer contribution increasing with length of service
  • Free membership of the Soil Association and discounts on organic produce
  • Volunteer days to give back to the local community or support green initiatives
  • Family friendly policies and flexible working
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Sociable and engaging workplace of professionals that share a passion for healthy, sustainable lifestyle and produce

We know the value of diversity in nature and want it in our organisation. We recognise that diverse backgrounds and experiences will bring a fresh perspective to our work. If you're not sure about applying, please get in touch with us for a chat.

Thank you for your interest in supporting our work at the Soil Association.
