Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 per annum + benefits

Software Engineer Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable applications, backend services and APIs

Work across the full software development lifecycle, from technical discovery and design through to delivery and production

Develop robust, production-ready solutions using modern engineering practices

Work across a range of client environments, technologies and technical challenges

Apply clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability and other modern engineering principles

Build and integrate AI-enabled features, including LLM-powered services, RAG and agent-based workflows where appropriate

Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar to improve engineering productivity

Develop internal tools and reusable components to improve delivery and developer efficiency

Work closely with clients, product, data and platform teams to deliver effective technical solutions

Evaluate new technologies and approaches, adopting them where they provide clear value

Software Engineer Requirements

Essential:

Strong software engineering experience building and maintaining production systems

Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance considerations

Experience developing backend services and APIs in modern tech stacks

Exposure to, or strong interest in, AI technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), including API integrations or prompt-based workflows

Experience leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages

Experience with version control, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines
