Job Description

Role: Audit Manager

Location: Leeds

Salary: Up to 60,000 depending on experience

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing accountancy practice in Leeds as an Audit Manager, taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients across audit and accounts.

The role would suit an experienced Audit Manager who enjoys a hands-on, client-facing position and is confident managing assignments, client relationships and junior team members. You'll have the opportunity to work with a broad range of businesses, take ownership of your portfolio and play an important role in the continued development of the practice.

Responsibilities of the Audit Manager job include:

  • Managing a portfolio of audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of audit work
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Reviewing audit and accounts work completed by junior team members
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing members of the wider team
  • Planning workloads and ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the audit process
  • Liaising with clients and providing practical advice where appropriate
  • Working closely with Partners and senior colleagues on more complex assignments
  • Supporting the wider practice across accounts and general practice work where required
  • Identifying opportunities to improve client service and develop relationships

Requirements of the Audit Manager job include:

  • Strong previous audit experience within a UK accountancy practice
  • Previous experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or strong qualified-by-experience candidates considered
