Salary: £27,040 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 x 8-hour shifts plus sleep-ins

Sleep-in Payment: £60 per sleep-in

Twenty-Four Seven is seeking a compassionate, committed and experienced Parent and Child Support Worker to join our Supported Living Team in Barnsley.

This rewarding role involves working with parents and their babies aged 0 to 12 months who have been placed within our specialist parent and child service. Families are typically referred following involvement from Children's Services and, in some cases, family court proceedings, where there is an identified need for assessment and intensive support to promote positive parenting outcomes.

The aim of the service is to provide a safe and supportive environment where parents can develop their parenting skills, demonstrate their ability to meet their child's needs, and work towards a successful transition into the community following a structured support programme.

The Role As a Parent and Child Support Worker, you will provide practical, emotional and developmental support to parents and their infants during a placement of approximately 12 weeks .

You will play a key role in supporting families to develop positive parenting skills, promote child welfare and achieve agreed outcomes identified through assessment and support planning.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including approximately three to four Social Workers reporting to the Social Work Manager , and will manage a caseload of three to four families at any one time<...
